Cookie policy

We try to set as few cookies as possible. The only cookie-equivalent storage we set without your permission is a single first-party preference entry to remember your cookie choice. Everything else is opt-in.

Essential (always on)

• tpe-cookie-consent — localStorage, first-party. Stores which cookie categories you’ve accepted. Persists until you clear site data or change your choice on this page. No personal data.

Analytics (only if you accept)

• Google Analytics 4 — loaded from googletagmanager.com. We send page views and a small set of interaction events (form submissions, calculator usage, outbound clicks) so we can see which pages help merchants. IP addresses are anonymised. Cookies set: _ga, _ga_*. Retention: up to 14 months.

Marketing (only if you accept)

• Meta (Facebook) Pixel — loaded from connect.facebook.net. Lets us measure the performance of our Facebook and Instagram ads. Cookies set: _fbp, possibly_fbc if you arrived from a Meta ad.
• Chat assistant — loaded from paymentsexpert-chat-widget-…run.app. Stores conversation history in your browser’s storage so it survives page navigation. We also send messages to our server to respond to you. Any uploaded statements are deleted within 72 hours.

What we don’t use

• No third-party advertising cookies that profile you across other sites.
• No remarketing audiences built from cookie-based browsing history.
• No social-media embeds that drop third-party cookies.

Third-party storage

Where you accept marketing cookies, our chat assistant runs on a separate domain (paymentsexpert-chat-widget-…run.app) and may set storage on that origin. Google Cloud, which hosts the assistant, may set its own technical cookies for load balancing and security; these are not used for tracking.
